SE International RAP47 LEG Gamma Detector Probe with instruction manual. 1" X .04" (24.4mm X 1mm) CsI(Tl) crystal with thin entrance window. Responds to a very wide range of gamma energy and hard Betas, but responds especially well to Low Energy Gammas and X-Rays. A thin entrance window allows very low energy gamma rays to enter (8keV- 1000 keV). Manufactured with a High Quality Hamamatsu R268 PMT with 120MegOhms dynode string. Will run at a wide range of voltages (from 600v to 1100v), and is shown operating on a Ludlum Survey Meter (see pictures). Besides background counts, the detector is shown responding well to a small Cs137 sample, a Low Energy Gamma Sample, and a Thorite mineral sample. As designed, the detector highly favors Low Energy Gamma and X-Ray Sources. These RAP47 detectors will ship by default with a BNC connector.
