We have many styles and colors - - for almost every application! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * FOR SALE: FIFTY factory-new, LARGE-hasp, padlock-style, tamper-evident, plastic body with galvanized steel hasp security seals. These seals were specifically designed for HIGHER-SECURITY applications (such as government, law enforcement and custom's applications). Weather resistant. Sold as 50-pieces / seals in this listing. These seals are manufactured of the highest quality materials incorporating a translucent / transparent Polyethylene which allows for easy inspection of the inside of the seal (to detect tampering that might not be noticed in regular opaque seals). WHY NO COLOR / PIGMENTATION?: Pigments were intentionally left out of the Polyethylene (plastic) to create a special translucent / transparent, two-part seal (two part = seal body and wire hasp). Government agencies wanted to be able to visually detect any tampering on the inside of the seal. Some companies produce three-part acrylic seals (with colored inserts) that can actually make seal tampering. In addition, three-part acrylic seals seem to degrade faster when exposed to ultraviolet light (sunlight). We concluded that two-part Polyethylene seals were superior to three-part acrylic seals and elected to supply those to our buyers. DESCRIPTION OF THE SEAL: Each padlock security seal is a "one use" seal which snaps (locks) into place and is non-removable without leaving a clear indication of tampering. NO SPECIAL TOOL is required to attach these seals - simply clip around the object to be secured and compress the seal by hand. You're done just that fast! These seals must be cut off to remove them. The hasp has a 100-pound breaking strength. Each seal is heat-embossed on both sides. The front of the seal bares the word: "SECURED." The back of the seal displays an "EIGHT-DIGIT" serial number (all lettering is in BLACK). ALL THE RIGHT FEATURES: Eight-digit serial number; easy to read embossing (even in low-light environments); must be cut off to remove; large hasp easily accommodates most applications; small diameter galvanized steel wire (allows hasp to easily pass through tight spaces); "translucent" material allows easy detection of any internal tampering. DIMENSIONS: Each seal measures as follows: Length of plastic body is 1.49"; width is 0.75; overall thickness is 0.17". The "shackle opening" measures approximately 1.5" tall (prior to compressing / locking) by 0.83" at its widest point. 50 seals weigh approximately 6.0 ounces (18 grams) making these seals both rugged and light-weight. UNUSUAL FEATURES / NOTES: Each seal is different - as it has its own eight-digit serial number heat embossed (and painted) into its side. Each seal's wire shackle is corrosion-resistant galvanized wire. These particular seals are made from molded Polyethylene. Each seal has a breaking strength of approximately 100-pounds. These seals are molded, manufactured, formed, imprinted and embossed in the United States (i.e. no low-grade "mystery materials" in our seals). Thousands of smaller companies, businesses, campgrounds, electrical supply houses and factories need security seals, but in small or limited quantities - not wanting to purchase the minimum quantity of 1,000 or 5,000 or 10,000 seals that most manufacturers require (and then wait weeks for their seals to arrive).
