Here is "America's Most Popular Tube Tester!"  These are Sencore's words in describing their line of Mighty Mite tube testers.  This particular Mighty Mite V is in especially good condition with only minor marks from use and minimal tarnish.  If you don't store it in your humid basement or garage, it will look like this for many years to come.  The knobs and sockets are nice and the meter is clear, smooth and repeatable.  Please see the pictures for more details. This tester will test most modern tubes used in consumer and amateur radio electronics post WW2.  This includes TV, Color TV, Radio, Rock 'n Roll Amps & Organs, Amateur Rx & Tx, and even those nasty CB linears using Compactron sweep tubes to crank out an easy kilowatt! :)  Yes, it will even test 10-pin Miniature (9+1 B10G), Magnoval, 5-pin Nuvistor and Decal tubes. The handle, latch and hinges are great.  I put some new feet on it because the old ones were down to the rivets.  (See pics.) The pictures also show tests of good and bad tubes.  Notice that the bad tube has low emission plus a very high GRID LEAKAGE.  The grid leakage test is one of the TC142 strengths.  Pictures showing shorted and good tubes are also shown.  If you follow the Sencore instructions for testing filament sensitive tubes, the TC142 will also find weak tubes.  Included with the tester is a copy of the manual set with: (1)  An updated set-up tube chart for the Mighty Mite testers (2)  Sencore TC142 Service Manual with schematic and calibration instructions Please Note:  Tubes shown in the pictures are for demo only and are not included in this sale.
