No base station is required. The Master beltpack can communicate back and forth freely with a single Remote beltpack, and the other three Remote beltpacks can listen in. The Master beltpack can be operated hands free, with no button pushes required. The people wearing the Remote beltpacks can switch them from Listen Only mode (Standby) to Continuous Talk mode (Talk). But again, only one of them can talk to the Master at a time. The compact Simultalk 24G beltpacks and Loop Headsets offer a very low-profile method for team members to communicate. The body of the beltpacks are small and lightweight, and feature a short, unobtrusive antenna. The Loop Headsets simply slide over a single ear, and feature an in-line microphone for communication, and a clothing clip to keep the cable in place. This system utilizes 2.4 GHz digital technology, and offers up to 450 feet of range. Rechargeable AAA batteries and chargers are included. The beltpacks get up to 10 hours of battery life in Standby mode, and 5 hours of battery life in Talk mode. An unlimited amount of separately available Remote beltpacks can be added to the system.
