Smart Tweezers ST-5S are a professional quality LCR-Reader. Unlike traditional LCR-meters that require both hands and extensive set-up between measurements, Smart Tweezers is able to automatically determine the type of component as an Inductor, Resistor or Capacitor while measuring with a high basic accuracy of 0.2%. When a Surface Mount Device or older through-hole component is grasped between the gold-plated stainless-steel tweezers, Smart Tweezers will identify the component and automatically select the best test range and signal frequency for that component. The measurement values, type of component, secondary values, test frequency and mode are displayed on the screen instantly. The ST-5S also has manual test parameters within the extensive menus. Every task can be specified with the ability to select the test range with 100 Hz, 120 Hz, 1 kHz and 10 kHz test frequencies, L, C, R, ESR, D and Q measurement test modes; component sorting or any work involving a PCB has never been easier. The unique design and fast, automatic measurements allow users to focus on the task at hand. Navigated with a joystick button, users don't have to enter the menu to change the measurement mode or test frequency. Smart Tweezers comes in a hard-shelled carrying case, with a Li-Ion battery that holds an 80 hours of continuous use; the 1 oz. weight makes the device ultimately portable. The ST-5S comes with an NIST traceable certificate for professionals who require their equipment to be calibrated annually.
