SMC KJR01-03 PBT Push-To-Connect Tube Fitting, Plug-in Reducing Coupler, 1/8" Tube OD x 5/32" Tube OD The SMC KJR plug-in reducing coupler fitting is made of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and has tube connectors. This reducing coupler has a plug-in end suitable for connecting two pipes with different diameters. It is a push-to-connect fitting that connects to pipes or tubing on both ends. The fitting is made of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), which is a polymer resistant to solvents, shrinkage, heat, and impact, and it can be treated to increase resistance to UV and flammability. The working pressure for this fitting is up to 150 pounds per square inch (psi), and its operating temperature ranges from -5 to 60 degrees C. Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Push-to-connect compression fittings do not require tools or sealants, and are useful in installations where a heat source, such as a soldering torch, is prohibited. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability.
