This listing is for 1/2 Lb bag of Sodium Metabisulfite, 99% pure. Also known as SMB, Pyrosulfite, and Disodium. Used is gold refining as a gold precipitant, it has so many uses. This listing is sold as a gold precipitant for aqua regia, and please use responsibly with adequate ventilation. When precipitating gold from aqua regia SMB will let off SO2 gas when introduced to the AR solution, sulfur dioxide and it is a lung and eye irritant.
