Sony Dictating/Transcribing Machine Up for auction is a Sony Secutive Cassette Dictating / Transcribing Machine Model BM-30 in great used cosmetic condition.  The body of the unit has few to no scratches or paint scuffs on it due to normal wear and tear.  Please refer to the provided pictures for details. We powered on the unit and tested some of the dials and buttons.  This particular unit made a "motor running" noise when first turned on, which could be a problem with the unit.  We have had other units which do not make any noise when they are powered on.  We then tested the buttons on the cassette controls which all seem to be functioning correctly.  We were unable to test the transcribing feature of this device due to a lack of equipment at our shop.  We did test the speed control and volume control dials on the machine which seem to be functioning correctly when adjusted.  Other than powering on the device and testing the cassette controls, no further testing was done to the unit.  Due to the nature of the object and a lack of overall testing, we must sell this item as is and as described.
