This rotor was used in a University Lab, and has been thoroughly cleaned with mild detergents and solvents. As I don't have the centrifuge unit, I cannot test it at speed but if there is any problem it can be returned within 14 days. Though there is some minor staining on the inside of some wells, there is no visible corrosion that would cause structural problems. The inserts have also been well cleaned and there are four that came with the unit--more can be purchased. I have not seen any other rotors for sale with *any tube inserts*.The lid has some pitting, but the large o-ring has been replaced with new Viton-D type. The lid closes well and the unit has no visible structural problems.Compare this one with others online and note well their condition. This is also the original design, which is heavy (almost 15 pounds). Some newer models found online appear to weigh quite a bit less, so are much less solid.
