Genuine U.S. Military Issue Surplus Stanley - Steel Hinge or Bracket or (?) (NOS) (NOS) = New Old Stock We have no idea what this item is or what it is made for. On the bracket it has.... STANLEY MADE IN U.S.A. L.H The overall length of the bracket is approximately 13 3/8" to 13 1/2" Depending on the position of the angle bracket on the one end. (See Pictures) The flat metal bar is 5/8" wide x 1/8" thick. (See Pictures) Near the center on the one end of the bracket there is a pin that you push down. When you press down on this pin, it pushes the catch out of the hole that has it in the locked in the straight position. Once the pin is pressed down, the bracket hinge's (turns) in the center. Pivoting the one end of the bracket. (See Pictures) Attached to the one end of the plate metal is a angle bracket that easily pivots 360 degrees. (See Pictures) The angle bracket has two mounting holes, they are 1/4" Inner Diameter These mounting holes on the one side are counter sunk so that the screws used in mounting can be mounted flush with the metal. (See Pictures) On the opposite end of the flat metal there is one mounting hole, it is 3/16" Inner Diameter (See Pictures) Starting from the end without the pivoting angle bracket, the flat metal from the tip of the metal to the first bend is 1 3/16" in length Then the flat metal is bent at an angle for 1/2" in length Then the flat metal is bent back to the original angle for 6 1/8" to the center end of the of this flat metal. (See Pictures) The opposite end of the bracket from the very end to the first bend in the flat metal, it is 5 1/8" in length. Then the flat metal is bent at an angle for 1/2" in length Then the flat metal is bent back to the original angle for 1 1/4" to the center end of the of this flat metal. Then the flat metal is trimmed down to 3/16" wide and bent down for 1/4" to the end. This end piece of the metal fits into a notched area on the opposite piece of flat metal, when the hinged bracket is locked into place. (See Pictures) Made in U.S.A. Made of Steel Weight: 5.4 Oz. Similar to the one in the pictures. Unused! But there is a very tiny bit of rust.
