This is a Starrett No.278 Pair of matched Vee Blocks with clamps, Complete set in box.The Starrett No.278 Vee Blocks are precision ground to extreme accuracy, The Vees are ground central, Parallel, and square with the ends and sides. Their accuracy makes them particulary adapted for layout work, inspection work and they hold work securely and accurately during drilling, milling and grinding operations. the blocks are made of hardened steel and are manufactured and numbered in pairs, so that the vees in each block are always in alignment. The blocks have a tapped hole through the sides so that they may be attached to an angle plate by a 1/4-20 screw. Each block is 1-1/4" square and 1-5/8" long. The clamps have a clamping capacity of 1" Diameter.Used in excellent condition, Has owners markings, See number 8 picture, Lightly etched RAH on the clamps and blocks.   Made in USA.
