The controllers of series STU2xxxx can work in two modes, selected with JUMPER: COM PORT or HID Device 8 Relay Outputs, 6 Digital Inputs, 2 Analog Inputs 1280x720 video - STU2 Controllers part 1/2 , Part 2/2 ( HID Mode ) COM Port Mode This is the simple mode of operation. When connecting to a computer, controller will be installed as a serial port (COM PORT). Download the driver from here. The controller can be operated from any program that can communicate through a serial port in binary form. There are only 9 commands. Applications software uses these commands to read inputs and switch outputs. If using a double power, when you disconnect the computer, outputs retain their status. This mode is useful when you want to manage the controller from your program. If you use the controller with our software, we suggest switch to HID Device Mode. HID device Mode This is the full mode of this controller, here you can see its rich possibilities. In direct mode output, fully covers the first mode (COM PORT). You can switch directly the outputs from software application. You also have many more opportunities for input and output. All logic is built into the controller, the computer is used only for monitoring the status and programming modes. When using dual power after programming, you can disconnect your computer and let the controller to perform programmed modes.
