PRISONER OF WAR - MISSING IN ACTION (POW MIA) PATCH "YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN" - SUBDUED OLIVE DRAB This patch is embroidered with 100% cotton thread. The backing is made of cotton and polyester. You can iron on this patch or sew it on. This military embroidered patch " POW*MIA YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN " is printed on front of the patch in black lettering. The POW MIA emblem is pictured on the front. The POW/MIA Patch is a patch worn out of respect and duty for those that got left behind. It was designed as a symbol of citizen concern about United States military personnel taken as prisoners of war (POWs) or listed as missing in action (MIA) to put pressure on the US Government to get our Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines back from enemy hands. If you served, you owe it to your comrades in arms to keep this issue visible by displaying this patch. Also available are bumper stickers, window stickers, and Flags. POW MIA patch. As a result the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC) joint task force was formed within the United States Department of Defense (DOD) to account for every Americans who is listed as a Prisoners Of War (POW), or as Missing In Action (MIA), from all wars and conflicts.
