This is an original SUMTER MAGNETO from a headless Z Fairbanks Mores engine. The pot metal base of the magneto is cracked and broken like many. This is quite common on these magnetos and reproductions are available in aluminum and brass from magneto parts suppliers. The base bolts on with four screws. The rest of the magneto is steel and brass and is fine. Magneto spins over nice and smooth. Gear is in really nice condition. Has good magnetism. The magneto is hot. I attached a 12 volt test light and it would flash the bulb real bright just spinning the gear by hand. I was actually supprised how hot it was. No other cracks, breaks, or welds.   Look at the pictures large sized to get a good look at it.I always combine on shipping when possible. If you have any questions feel free to email. Thanks!!!!
