The DCV-616 Dwell Control Kit has been developed to overcome some of the difficulties in producing straight cylinders, in the CV616, using the honing process.  Hundreds of these units have been sold to happy customers.  The new CV10 SUNNEN cylinder honing machine can dwell in any position in the bore.  Add this device, keep your old machine working and you will have the same results, saving a lot of money. This attachment is designed to allow the operator the ability to instantly dwell the honing head at any position in the bore.--- i.e. centre or top.  This can be easily accomplished with a flick of the wrist, simply pressing a handle at any time during the stroke cycle.  It allows for the normal cutting pressure to be used at all times. Common hour-glass cylinder measurements (usually caused by thin cylinder walls) can easily be straightened by dwelling with the honing head in the centre of the cylinder.  Also, after torquing up stress plates on the engine block, severe out-of-roundness occurs opposite the screw holes.  This is easily corrected by the dwell kit, which allows the honing head to stay at the top of the cylinder to remove this out-of-roundness. REALISTICALLY THE HONE HEAD CAN WORK AND DWELL ANYWHERE YOU DESIRE IN THE LENGTH OF THE CYLINDER. After reading the enclosed instructions it takes about 40 minutes to adapt the kit to the CV616 using common shop tools.
