Food safety is a serious matter, and incorrect food temperature readings can have devastating effects on your customers and guests. With this Taylor 9821-PB K-type thermocouple, accurate temperature reading gets easier, as does ensuring your customers' health. This compact thermometer with a probe is easy to hold in your hand when testing the temperatures of meat, fish, poultry, and more. Able to handle a substantial temperature range of -58 to 662 degrees Fahrenheit or -50 to 350 degrees Celsius, this thermocouple will be the most versatile and useful thermometer in your kitchen. Not only can this thermocouple measure scalding temperatures of boiling liquids, but it can also read the temperature of products in your deep freezer. The thermocouple boasts incredible accuracy of + / - 1% of a temperature reading or 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit (1 degree Celsius), whichever is greater. Between temperature measurements of 14 and 392 degrees Fahrenheit (-9.9 to 199.9 degrees Celsius), its screen reads to one decimal point. At temperatures lower or higher than that range, the screen will display the temperature without any decimal places. So, thanks to its clear readout and sensitive probe, even the newest member on your staff can confidently and accurately adhere to temperature monitoring standards set forth in your HACCP plan. Featuring a recalibration function and a switch that can toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature readings, this thermocouple has customization abilities for all your specific kitchen needs. The oversized 1 1/8" LCD readout making temperatures easy to see, and the K-Type probe uses quick response technology for added convenience.Two AAA batteries are included.
