The Tek 494P is highly regarded in the TSCM industry as one of the best analyzers to use for sensitive RF work. Top of the line in the 490 Series. Over $50,000.00 when new. It has built in self calibration routines to minimize the times you have to send it out for calibration. Sophisticated analyzing features. Mixer diodes that can be changed in the field. Almost all the spectrum analyzes you see on eBay have been out of manufacturer support for quite some time, making replacement parts very difficult, if not impossible to find. Parts for the Tek analyzers I sell are available, making your decision one that won't result in writing it off as a loss when a problem arises down the road. I have completely re-conditioned this analyzer. My re-conditioning includes checking the signal transfer on the RF deck from the input to the output of the 3rd converter. I replace any parts that are defective or have signal loss below specs. I check the operational parameters of the circuit modules and replace any parts that are defective. I replace all the high voltage caps in the power supplies. I calibrate the unit. I complete re-conditioning by painting the case with Tek Blue paint and the facia with textured gray paint to restore it to like new condition. Take a close look at this analyzer.
