The sockets possess a lever actuated zero insertion force mechanism to maximize cycle life and reduce the potential for device lead damage. For 28-pin DIP ICs with .100" (2.54mm) lead spacing. Lever actuated zero insertion force mechanism. Socket easily disassembles for repairability. Socket contact point of .110" (2,79mm) below top surface of socket.
