Terracom TCM-6/600 Series Microwave Radio For sale- one Terracom TCM-6/600 Series Microwave Radio. Either a TCM-604A, OR if you prefer, a TCM-604AF. Please note that both units are pictured, but you will have to choose between them, the listed price is for one. The 604A is apparently set up as a transmitter, the 604AF as a receiver. Other than the power supply plug-in on the left side the installed components are all different. I don’t know the vintage of these things, and I cannot help you with any questions regarding their application. As you can see from the picture of the back panel they would require proprietary connections for power that I DO NOT have (and thus it IS NOT included), so they are completely untested, and sold without warranty. Both units, however, do have tags attached noting they are “SERVICEABLE”. The one on the receiver, dated 2004, says “checks good”, while the one on the transmitter says “aligned AFC, checks good.” That one is dated 2005. If I had to guess I would say that neither has been used since as the tag is in the way operationally speaking and why would you work around it if you didn’t have to? Virtually all the other Terracom listings also mention Loral, and the only decent reference I could find online to something similar was an L-3 Communications TCM-930. So I am going to guess that Loral acquired Terracom and then either became L-3 or spun it off. Neither unit has the Loral or L-3 logo on it anywhere, so they no doubt predate these changes. In fact, the only thing on the outside of these other than the Terracom logo is the small TCM-604A/604AF sticker. As I recall I removed the AC power section from one and found a TCM-6 sticker inside the rack. I do not have a manual or perhaps I could offer more information. There is one listing here on ebay for a TCM-6 Service Manual, and I do see other references online to TCM-6 manuals, so it would seem they are at least obtainable, but not included. So the sale includes nothing but one of the two radio units pictured. I have no other cables, no manuals, nothing else to go with it. If you want both the transmitter and the receiver I am sure we can find a way to make that happen, but again, the price is for ONE.
