Testo 0560 9056 Pocket Line Compact Surface Thermometer with Spring-Loaded Probe, -35 to 350 Degree F Range, 0.1 Degree F Resolution, 3 AAA Battery Product Features Product Description The Testo 0560 9056 Pocket Line surface digital thermometer with a spring-loaded probe is a dual-range Type K thermocouple thermometer for use in monitoring short temperature measurements of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment. It measures temperature from -50 to +350 degrees C (-58 to +660 degrees F), and short-term up to 500 degrees C (930 degrees F), with an accuracy of + or - 1 degree C (1.8 degrees F) from -50 to +99.9 degrees C (-58 to +212 degrees F) and + or - 1% of the reading outside this range. This thermometer has a 5.9" spring-loaded stem has a Type K thermocouple sensor for taking accurate measurements on any surface. The head swivels in all directions for visibility when reading temperatures at any angle. The unit operates on three AAA batteries and turns off automatically after 10 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life. It has a low-battery indicator that signals when the battery needs to be replaced. The European Conformity (CE) marking indicates compliance with applicable European Union (EU) directives. It comes with batteries, a belt clip, and instructions. Specifications Temperature range -50 to +350 degrees C (-58 to +660 degrees F) and short-term up to 500 degrees C (930 degrees F) Display resolution 0.1 degree F (0.1 degree C) Accuracy + or - 1 degree C (1.8 degrees F) from -50 to +99.9 degrees C (-58 to +212 degrees F) and + or - 1% of the reading outside this range Response time 5 seconds Standards met CE marking Power supply (3) AAA batteries Dimensions 9 x 1.5 x 1.4 inches (H x W x D) H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. Digital thermocouple thermometers measure the temperature of air, liquids, or surfaces. They may measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Thermocouple thermometers are composed of two conductors of different metals, usually alloys of the same metal, which touch at the sensor end of the thermometer. The difference in conductivity between the two metal pieces produces a voltage flow between the sensor end and the open end of each conductor, which can be used to determine the temperature. Different alloys are used for different temperature ranges. Thermocouple thermometers are used in applications that require a large temperature range and do not require a high degree of accuracy. These thermometers are used in kilns, turbine exhaust systems, and furnaces. Testo manufactures portable test and measurement instruments. The company, founded in 1957 in Germany, has a U.S. office in Sparta, NJ, and meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001. What's in the Box?
