I will return to Navasota Texas and teach another basic/advanced class inside Steve Watkins shop. The dates for the class are February 17th to the 21 st, 2017. Navasota is about 45 minutes NW of the Houston Texas airport. The class will consist of the standard 5 day class This is the third class Steve Watkins has hosted here in my shop just northwest of Houston. 5 members of the 2015 class also attended the 2016 class and we really had a great time. We will probably have room for 10 to 12 students as Steve has been forced to expand the climate controlled area of my shopas he has purchased a Rockford Planner that he will demonstrate how it machines. Right now we have 7 returning students and will accept 3 more. . I will be teaching you to hand-scrape, hand 1/2 moon oil flake, BIAX power scrape and 1/2 moon oil flake, machine leveling and alignment, how to scrape a lathe bed; mill table, grinder table, teach youto scrape 20 points per inch (PPI). I will be teaching you and other hobbyists; professional machinists; maintenance personal. The class is planned for all grades of experience, so is you have never scraped, no problem. You will be given one of my DVD's shown in pictures and a work booklet. I am located Minnesota, but i will also be traveling to Navasota TX to teach the class. I will supply all tools and supplies, but if you own your own tools, please bring them. You can bring your own personal project like a surface plate, straight-edge, lathe compound, angle block, mill or grinder table that I will help you scrape and rebuild it in the class. I have been teaching machine tool rebuilding for over 35 years and I am a Journeyman Machine tool Rebuilder and have taught my classes in Germany, Taiwan, throughout the USA and Canada, Sweden, Norway, and Istanbul Turkey. I have taught over 3000 people to scrape ways and rebuild machinery like lathes, milling machines, CNC machines with Turcite /Rulon ways. I have taught new machine building in Taiwan and Turkey and here in the USA. In 2013 & 2014 I taught scraping classes in Stuttgart, Germany to hobbyists and professional machine tool rebuilders. You pay for your expenses. After you buy it now I will contact you and send you more information on Hotels, maps, airports, etc. I will consider refunding your class fee only if their is a proven emergency, which I will do on a one on one basis. I guarantee you will be 100% happy and will be able to scrape and do basic machine tool repairs after the class.
