Product Description: Offered for sale are 280 - 1 gram lots of thermally reduced graphene oxide [tr-GO] powder.  This material is part of a larger lot synthesized for use as a substrate for development of catalytic fuel cell electrodes, and is surplus to our current needs. This tr-GO was produced by electrochemical degradation of graphite rod (Pyrotech GSXP, FIN) followed by acid rinse, washing, filtering, drying and calcining at 1000 F under nitrogen.   Uses: Tr-GO forms an effective substrate for producing graphene thin films, electronic components, energy storage devices, sensors, electrodes, catalysts and supercapacitor applications.  The powdered form sold here enables an efficient choice of solid or liquid applications.  Purchasing tr-GO in powder form allows the user to select solvent types such as water, IPA and DMF.  Tr-GO dispersions are useful in the preparation of catalytic and electrically conductive inks, and structural and custom applications.  Sonication of tr-GO suspensions is recommended to optimize dispersion, minimize stacking and produce the best properties of the material. Environmental: We are committed to using environmentally responsible processes.  According to independent research studies(1,2,3) the electrochemical synthesis path we used to produce this lot of tr-GO results in fewer lattice defects and better electrical properties than that produced by chemical methods (e.g modified Hummers method) while avoiding the environmentally harmful chemicals consumed and produced by chemical methods.  The most significant byproducts from our process include water, fertilizers (urea and ammonium sulfate), natural soil amendments such as lime and gypsum, a vitamin derivative added to livestock feed and common table salt.  Further to that commitment, our laboratory is powered entirely by energy produced from renewable resources.
