This is the standard Thermostat Reset that is used on most Thermax Therminator DV-12 and CP-5 machines. If your machine doesn't have one, it's just because it's old as this reset was implemented in the late 90's. The reset supplied will be slightly different in appearance to the picture as Thermax has sourced a new supplier for the thermostat, but it installs in the same way and you will be using the same quick disconnects for the installation. You will notice that one side of this element has two wires that connect to it, and one on the other side. There is a special quick disconnect that connects the two wires together on the one side that you'll re-use. So the fact that there are only a total of two wire connections on this thermostat does not mean that it can't take the three wires, just reuse the wiring from the original and it will install fine.
