This eBay listing is for a Thomas & Betts T&B WT-186 Ty-Rap® Installation Tool. This tool dates back to the mid 1960’s to early 1970’s and was used on the TY25M cross-section size Ty-Rap®. It is of plier design, simple to use but it did require user practice to learn to use just the right amount of pressure/pull on the cable tie before completely depressing the handles. The tool did not have a built in tension detector that automatically cut off the excess tail. Proper use of the tool was entirely dependent on user feel. It is in excellent and perfect working condition. Use it as you would any other cable tie tool or if you are a collector of unusual and/or obsolete tools this one is for you. The TY-186 can safely be called an antique in the world of T&B Ty-Rap® cable ties.
