This is a Timemark Delta III Traffic Classifier/Counter. These are used for traffic studies/etc to count vehicles passing by using air-tubes. Unit is in good physical condition with scuffs, scratches and light marks from usage. The unit powers on properly, all LED's iilluminate as they should. The unit was surplused in working condition. Please note that no road-tubes are included, tubes are consumables that are layed across the roadway where you would be conducting your studies. Road tubes can be purchased easily online from TimeMark's website. This unit will support up to 4 inputs, allowing for counting on roads with 4-lanes. The included battery was purchase recently and should last you quite a while, it's a standard 6-volt 10amp/hour battery which is user replacable. Software CD's are included, I did not test the software. I do not know which versions of Windows the software is compatible with, versions are listed below. A serial cable is required to connect the unit to a computer for data transfer, no cables are included. Product Description: The Delta III Series Traffic Classifiers, featured at the APWA Exposition in Las Vegas, are portable road tube classifiers that can be used to do simple volume counts or sophisticated multi-lane raw data studies. There are four models in the series. Users can choose between two different front panels and two different housings. One front panel has a keyboard and display, which allows the user to enter study information in the field and monitor the data as it is recorded. The other front panel is simpler; the operator only has to hook up the road tubes and start the study by pressing the start button three times. Four road tube support is standard. The operator can do axle counts in four lanes, or collect raw data to find true vehicle counts, speed, axle classification, gap, and per vehicle data in two lanes. Programmable airswitches allow the user to tailor the sensitivity and deadtime response of the tubes to the traffic. .
