Product slides into the top opening, whichmeasures 10.5 inches wide by 1.5 inches tall, and as bread moves through thetoasting chamber, the independently controlled top and bottom heating elementsevenly toast the product. Because heat from the elements is circulated throughthe unit, start times are accelerated and uniform toasting is ensured. Thetoasting level is controlled by how fast the toast moves through the chamberinstead of how hot the elements get. During slow periods, the power-savingswitch reduces energy use by as much as 50 percent. Durable for heavy use, the APW Wyott XTRM-2 horizontal conveyor toaster hasstainless steel housing, while its adjustable legs prevent wobbling and elevateit off the countertop. To facilitate cleaning, the conveyor and crumb trays aredetachable, and for convenient servicing, the side panel can be removed forcomponent access. Its high-temperature bearings are made to reduce maintenancewith their lubrication-free design.
