Aquaflex is a durable, reliable tubing that will not corrode or rust. The flexibility of Aquaflex tubing results in easy rollouts. The stay-in-place rigid feature of the tubing makes it ideal for: Radiant Floor heating systems Manifold supply piping Baseboard supply and return Unit heater connections Solar systems Chiller and fan coil systems If you want to know a little more about Aquaflex : The PEX layers protect against corrosion and creates a shield so the tubing can be embedded in concrete. The aluminum layer offers 100% oxygen diffusion and provides stiffness to hold the tubing in the desired shape. Together, the layers make up a flexible tubing that stays in place, won't discolor and has a very low thermal expansion rate (similar to copper and teel). On the other hand, PEX pipe is plastic and thus has a much higher thermal expansion coefficient that can result in heat stress cracking of cement and asphalt floors due to expansion of the embedded pipe..
