Thanks for looking at these two hand numbering machines. I don't know anything about them, so bear with me please. The Bates says 6E. It left a very very faint number on paper. You can see in the photo with the shiny Staples machine how dark/faint that number was. Does that mean they work? I don't know! Use your best judgement please! If nothing else, use for parts or hey...keep the grandkids busy numbering something, anything...just keep them busy! The Staples does not have a box, the Bates does as shown in the photo. The Bates comes with a manual and the wooden stick. Please, if you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to contact me. If you change your mind within 14 days after purchase, no problem. Simply contact me first, and then you pay to return the item to me. Upon receipt of the item in the same condition you received it, I will refund your original purchase price minus shipping. If you can show me that I unwittingly misled you somehow, then of course I will gladly refund not only your purchase price, but your postage both ways as well (again, using eBay's 14 day policy).  There's no business here (other than my husband's dairy farm), just me as a one person full-time stay at home Grammie, part time eBayer.  I wouldn't want to keep something that I didn't care for either, so I just ask that we work things out together with no hard feelings. Please, let's keep our dealings positive no matter what! Thanks!
