After purchase, we will provide you with a release number and pick-up information. You can then go to the intermodal depot on the release and have the container loaded on your truck. Please be aware you are required to comply with all DOT and OSHA rules while at the intermodal depot and instoragesearch cannot be liable for any issues during transport. If you don’t have a truck capable of safely hauling a container, we can help you with delivery. Shipping cost depends on the distance of delivery location from our yard. Please ensure that the delivery location would have easy access and enough place for the container to be dropped. We use tilt bed / self unloading trucks which require around 120ft of straight length, 14ft width and 14ft height to properly unload the container. Also please make sure that there are no wires overhead which might hinder the drop. The container would be delivered in 7-10 business days from the date of payment received. The delivery time might also extend according to the trucker's schedule. Next day delivery is also possible depending on trucker availability. Preparing Your Site The most common issue after delivery is that the doors don't open and close easily. Even though containers are all steel, if they are on uneven surfaces or loaded heavy to one side, they can twist just slightly enough for the doors not to line up properly and be very difficult to open and close. The best solution is to place wood blocks under the door frame (and ideally the length of the container). This will ensure your doors line up properly and open/close smoothly. Cargo Worthy (CWO) – Criterion under which a used shipping container is deemed suitable for the transport of cargo under TIR / UIC / CSC, and meets all the standards laid out in its original specification. The CW Cargo worthy standard generally implies that the container has a valid CSC. The meaning of Cargo Worthy has no correlation to an esthetics value. Cargo Worthy is a condition of structural integrity. Cargo Worthiness can be certified by a third party container surveyor pursuant to a physical inspection of the used shipping container.
