Up for individual sale is 3 Vintage Standard Electric Adjust-A-Volt Type LR-5 Variable Isolation Transformers. All 3 have been professionally renewed/refurbished, at a cost of over $50 above my original purchase price. Each one operationally like new. These were made by Standard Electric (Dayton) , they made many different model variable Transformers for radio/electronic repair but very few were designed and built as isolation transformers as well. The LR-5 types are very heavy duty. This is very handy - it combines variable voltage with isolation, so it's two tools in one. They are specified as doing 70-140V at 115V input (but actually put out more like 80-160V due to the higher modern mains voltages.  I have one rated at 1000 VA and two at 500 VA each.  These are very heavy, the copper alone in each one probably equals in value a good part of the asking prices. Good currently produced HD dual purpose ISO-Variacs are quite expensive. These are not metered but I've been told this is a straightforward modification. They are fused only on the input side as far as I know. Otherwise would take good chunk of change to match with current stuff available. The two 500 VA versions have dull, faded dial scales, readable, but self adhesive numbers would make things easier.  I bought and had refurbished to feed a stable 110 volts into my antique radios, last much longer at their original designed input. These are great of course for radio repair, especially needed for hot chassis work. $75.00 for the 10 amp, and $45.00 for each of the 5 amp. They were over $50.00 each to electrically make like new so these are very favorable prices.  It has been a long time, have no idea as to shipping costs, Will ask for as always, actual cost. They are damn heavy for their size, but if memory serves, size is as important or more important than the weight. They are relatively small. I was surprised at the low cost for me way back when. will attempt to get actual shipping cost if you desire.  Check out the antiques listings I have three great Zenith Trans-Oceanics for sale.
