This is a very vintage Tycos thermometer, has a 10" long glass thermometer tube, and tons of patina.  The metal back plate is brass, brass barely showing through the finish.  I tried to polish the brass plate down to shiny brass, no go- - -what ever the dark finish is over the brass, it's holding on for dear life, I could not polish it off at all with my high powered "eat you alive" professional polishing machine??  There are two small brass clamps that hold the glass tube to the metal back plate, one vintage mounting screw is missing, won't be able to find another like it, so I'm going to supply (a) 4 new mounting screws (not original design), and (b) give the 3 original screws that I do have.  I'm not sure how buyer will calibrate the glass tube onto the metal mounting plate, probably position bottom of the glass mercury bulb into center of the round hole in the plate, or merely calibrate/adjust to a different thermometer , assuming you trust the accuracy of the other thermometer ???. NOTE: I will package this piece in a 4" by 4" by 11" fully padded box screaming with FRAGILE stickers, hope the post office respects this.
