Vintage Art Steel Co Asco Small Metal File Box New York Mid-century

This is a small, pressed steel filing box with hinged lid. The box was made by the Art Steel Company, ASCO, of New York. Originally finished in glossy, olive green, the box was long ago painted matte black (except for the inside & bottom). There is a nice applied label on the inside of the hinged lid, and remnants of rubber foot pads on the bottom. The box measures about 6.625" long by 6" wide by 4.875" deep, and it weighs about 1.25 pounds.  This item is in Good Condition. There are no dents or breaks in the metal, and the hinge is working well. There is an old adhesive sticker on the side, remnants of adhesive tape on the front, some white paint on one side, and scratching overall.
