this book, the third edition,  was published by the frederick drake company of chicago in 1916 as one of their popular handbook series.  written by horstmann and tousley, it was first published in 1909.  it is a " comprehensive treatise for the workers, fully illustrating the theoretical principles and shop practices of armature and magnet work. "  very technical work, beyond my understanding!  filled with charts, graphs and illustrations. book weighs a bit over 8 ounces and is about 4-1/2 x 7 x 3/4 inches.  the hard cover has only minor wear along the edges.  binding is solid with all pages firmly attached. pages not marked or creased. this hundred year old book is a great addition to the library.
