Appears to work. Was able to measure volts of 1.5 volt battery. Runs on 2 d cell batteries (NOT INLCUDED) This is in exceptional condition!! This meter may have been used in servicing the old time telephone systems. It was made by the Electric Specialty Mfg Co from Cedar Rapids, Iowa I am not an electrician so I may have missed something regarding it operational state.
