Vintage Cast Iron Advanced Lathe-Bed Optical Bench w/ Seven Carriages - CENCO The rail is unmarked but I'm pretty certain it is CENCO however regardless of it's maker it's extremely well made and durable.  It's cast iron with two sturdy support legs that could be screwed into a bench or work table.  The ruler on the side goes to 115 cm.  There are seven carriages to attach to the rail.  All but one are CENCO the last one is Gardiner Scientific.  One or the carriages is missing screws at the hinge however it still fits on the rail properly and appears to work properly.  If you have any questions, PLEASE ask.  I have no knowledge about this item other than what I researched.  Our consignor was an engineer in a space division for a large US CO and has all kinds of intersecting scientific things in a home lab.  This item is heavy and will be properly packed to preserve it's vintage and awesome condition.  It will go via FedEx Ground/Home.  I have included a shipping calculator. Please note that can be off by $5-10 one way or the other at auction's end (I think it has to do with how far your residence is off an Interstate or away from a FedEx terminal, please be aware it's not me changing the price)  I always pay for insurance.  If you know of a cheaper method for shipping, I will gladly ship that way, just send me the label.  If you have a cheaper rate through FedEx or UPS just send me a label.  As you can see I dislike shipping costs as much as you and I will do what's needed to save you $$$.  I did run this item through the USPS shipping calculator and it was approximately $110 to the west coast from the midwest for example.
