Here is a piece of History item, and I don't know if its still in use or not. Its a Glass vacuum tube similar to the tubes used in Drive up Banking, only this was used in an office. My guess is that before you had the modern office to office intercoms/telephones, etc., this was a means to send messages from floor to floor - office to office - or office to mailing department, in place of a runner. It has part of the print on it, and I can see: CON  -- ST. PAUL, MN 55109 (612) 77. The one end is Leather, with the letters AIC on it, it has a Metal tab, and the end opens for the papers, the inside cover has the number 217. The other end is  METAL with a CUSHIONED RUBBER end. No doubt if these were still in use, this tube would be in good working condition. The tube is thick glass, not cracked or chipped. This might be a great conversation piece just to have in YOUR OFFICE.
In good un cracked or chipped condition with leather ends.
