This listing is for a lot of 2 very useful vintage graphic arts/book design tools from my past in the publishing biz. Included is the Graphic Toolkit and an Intertype type size finder. Both are fan-type tools with various gauges for evaluating printed materials. Although most graphic projects are created on the computer, these tools allow the designer to measure, decode and recreate existing designs. The Graphic Toolkit was manufactured by Graphic Toolworks, Orinda CA ©1969. The piece has rigid black covers and 10 frosted mylar guages within. It measures 2-1/2" x 9". These handy gauges allow the designer to measure rule width, leading, points, screen values, etc. The Intertype type size finder and ruler was distributed by Harris Intertype Corp., Brooklyn NY. It has 4 rigid plastic gauges and measures 1.2" x 6-1/2". On one side you have the cover, 2 typewriter type guides, and a ruler. On the other, agate and 7 point through 12 point type gauges. I do not know when this item was created but in predates the ZIP code so it's from before the mid-60s. Both pieces are in excellent condition. Please feel free to contact me with questions.  Payment is due within 3 days of the auction's end. Some BIN items may require immediate payment. I am always happy to combine and discount shipping but please wait for an invoice so that I can double check the s/h charges and make the proper adjustments.  International buyers are welcome. International orders must be paid with PayPal only. Your shipping charges are calculated by weight and destination. Sorry but the USPS just raised international postage rates dramatically. At the same time, the weight limit for the base rate was raised so that combined shipping is a better value.
