Vintage ERIE TOOL WORKS No 2-E, 3-JAW BENCH PIPE VISE Heavy Duty, made in U.S.A. OPEN THIS VISE IS ABOUT 19 INCHES TALL. CLOSED IT IS ABOUT 13 15/16 INCHES TALL. OPEN THE JAW OPENING IS ABOUT 5 1/8 INCHES. TEETH OF THE JAWS LOOK LIKE NEW. THROAT IS ABOUT 7 BY 4 1/4 INCHES. VISE BODY IS ABOUT 11 9/16 INCHES TALL (NOT INCLUDING THE SCREW) BY ABOUT 8 5/8 INCHES WIDE BY ABOUT 1 1/16 INCHES THICK. BASE IS A LARGE HALF CIRCLE THAT MEASURES AT WIDEST POINTS ABOUT 9 1/4 BY 6 1/4 INCHES. SCREW IS ABOUT 1 1/8 INCHES IN DIAMETER. MY HUSBAND WIRE BRUSHED WHAT HE COULD AND PAINTED ALL BUT THE BASE BOTTOM, BLACK. THE BASE BOTTOM HAS 5 REINFORCING BARS AND 3 - 9/16 INCH BOLT HOLES TO BOLT IT DOWN TO A WORK BENCH ETC... IT ALSO HAS MEDIUM RUST. THERE IS A HEAVY DUTY QUICK RELEASE LEVER ON THE SIDE. THE FACE IN THE SUNKEN AREA ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE THROAT IS EMBOSSED: ERIE TOOL WORKS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE THROAT IS EMBOSSED: ERIE PA. U.S.A. BETWEEN THE 2 HEAVY BOLTS THAT HOLDS THE TOP JAW IN PLACE IS EMBOSSED: A DIAMOND E (INSIDE) THE TOP OF THE BASE HAS EMBOSSED: No DIAMOND WITH SUNKEN CIRCLE 2-E INSIDE CIRCLE IS EMBOSSED: ERIE BACK IS EMBOSSED ON THE LEFT: "NO".... ON THE RIGHT: "2 E"... BETWEEN JAW BOLTS A DIAMOND WITH A "E" IN THE CENTER. THIS IS IN GREAT WORKING CONDITION. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS. THIS WILL BE SHIPPED ALONE DUE TO WEIGHT. “Open this vise is about 19 inches tall. Closed it is about 13 15/16 inches tall. Open the jaw opening is about 5 1/8 inches. Teeth of the jaws look like new. Throat is about 7 x 4 1/4 inches. Vise body is about 11 9/16 inches tall (not including the screw) by about 8 5/8 inches wide by about 1 1/16 inches thick. Base is a large half circle that measures at widest points about 9 1/4 by 6 1/4 inches.My husband wire brushed what he could and painted all but the base bottom black. The base bottom has 5 reinforcing bars and 3 - 9/16 inch bolt holes to bolt it down to a work bench etc... It also has medium rust. There is a heavy duty quick release lever on the side.
