My mom found this in her basement before Christmas when she was bringing up decorations and thought it was neat, and asked me to sell it for her.  My father passed away some 10 years ago, but every now and then she stumbles across something we missed when she finally downsized and moved, and this is one of them. This was my dad's vintage ACE Tap and Die Set manufactured by Henry L. Hanson, in Worcester, Mass., U.S.A., Set No. 1, Thread N.C.  Mom and I honestly have no idea what you do with it, how to use it, etc., so we figure if you're looking at it, you know what it is.  We took pictures of everything - including the wooden box from all angles - so hopefully that will give you a pretty good idea of what it looks like.  We've tried researching it, but haven't come up with much as far as a date.  We can only tell you that this is the original wooden box (which is worn and has some scratches - more on the outside than inside), and all the parts inside are original.  Each piece is stamped/engraved with measurements (i.e., "1/4  20 N.C."), "ACE", "Made in U.S.A.", "FORGED IN USA", "START FROM THIS SIDE", etc.  There is some minor rust on the surface of some of the little round pieces, and the rest of the pieces might need a little cleaning/buffing, but nothing is chipped or broken or anything.  Feel free to ask us any questions, but honestly, we're pretty much selling this as is, as you see it in the photos, because, again, we don't really have much of a clue about these things.
