HOMEMADE AIR HAMMER CHISEL? POSSIBLY MADE OUT OF A DRIVE SHAFT? BIG & HEAVY RARE After hours of research and even asking 3 different mechanics I have come to the conclusion that this is some sort of homemade air tool. It is quite thick and heavy. One of the mechanics I had take a look at it said it looks like they made it out of a Drive Shaft. It is very old. All 3 mechanics were impressed by it. They said that they have never come across one of them quite like that. Approx Measurements: Length wise ~ a hair less than 10" Flat head width ~ 3/4" Round grooved neck width ~ 3/4" Round smooth neck width ~ 1" Round grooved top ~ 3/4" At the very top width ~ 3/4" My scale show it weighs 1.633 lbs. These pics don't do it justice. it is shiny. And the craftsmanship of whoever made this was very talented. A must for any tool collector. Please before you bid, purchase or make an offer, please check out all of my pictures and feel free to ask any questions you might have regarding the item. All items sold as is. Most of my inventory is vintage/used. Some antique, some new, and some vintage thats still in its original package. Everything I sell goes through close inspection and I am always honest with conditions of my products. I also clean them the best of my ability. Some vintage and antique products I am unsure how to clean properly and are simple cleaned so they may still have to be given once over by you as well after purchase. If this is so, I will state it also in the auctions description. I figure if the right person is going to purchase that peice then they would know how to clean it better than I. Also, I have arthritis so my vintage products may need more attention to detail than I can give. But again I will advise if this does come up. I am not perfect and there maybe something I overlooked or did'nt notice. I am completely willing to work with you in these instantences as well.
