Vintage Nickel/Chrome Plated Cast Iron Platen Press w Issues Mounted to Wood A vintage platen press that looks like a ready made work of art. I don't know who made it. There was once a paper label on the wood mount, but it's missing. The piece is about 16-3/4" tall with handle raised x 11-1/2" x 9". The mount adds another 2" in height. It weighs over 28 pounds unpackaged. It has issues, I'll do my best to describe them but I don't know the proper terminology for the parts. Please look at photos and ask any questions because the machine could also be missing some parts that I don't know it's supposed to have. The rollers are stained and have cracks and blistering. The top roller is missing its end cap fastener mechanism that keeps it in place. Also, some discoloration at ends of rollers. One of the bars on the platen doesn't raise up, it seems like it should. There is some paper remnant stuck in there. The wood mount has holes along one side and scars and mars in general. The press is cast iron that has been plated, it's either nickel plated or chrome plated and there's some discoloration to the plating especially to the ink disc.
