Item recovered locally, power on tested only and sold AS IS. This auction is for a Vintage PocketScope WAN Analyzer by Progressive Computing. Not tested. Lights up. I don't know much about this other than what I looked up on the internet. This is a piece of test equipment that was produced around 1991-1992 and was used to test out WAN networks. Has a pull out parallel printer port cable and each side has a parallel connector also, male on one side and female on  the other side. Front of test equipment has an ON/OFF switch and TD/TC and RD/RC lights. I did plug in an old battery that didn't have but about 7.5V and the green power light did light up and flash on and off about 4 times before it stopped. Battery will not be included. You can read an article on this item from the Jan 27, 1992 INFOWORLD magazine that I found online. This sold at that time for $2495.00 with an additional $395 for software! This was also gleaned from the internet: "..."We also launched a patented, hand-held protocol analyzer called PocketScope that operated via the parallel port (remember those?) of any PC-compatible computer.  This product won “Product of the Year’ honors from Data Communications Magazine, further credentializing the business, not to mention our marketing communication chops." Really neat little vintage piece of test equipment. Thanks for your time. Buyer pays shipping cost, please see shipping statement before making any payment, thanks!
