Up,for sale is an early Snap-on General Utility set in 1/2" drive. I think it's a number 44 but i could be wrong. I don't think it's a master service set due to the smaller selection of tools. I'm not a collecting expert but it's in that category of tool sets.  The tools mostly date to 1939 or 1940. The set has had an extension and 3 swivel sockets added to it. The rest was as it was found and it had originally belonged the the guy who's name is on the lid. He was an oil company employee in long beach, CA many years ago.  Here is the list of what's inside.  N71 ratchet 9 1/2" long Offset speeder, 19" long a-50 broken stud extractor 3 extensions-5" & 4", the 3" is a later model, most likely from the 70s Sockets:  SW 320, 300' (2) 260, 180, 160 A-26 drag link 3 swivel sockets in 3/8" drive. Not originally part of the set but from the same timeline The box has the original grey paint and is in good shape. The wire bail that locks the lid is present and closes firmly. It's nice and square with no rusts or warping to the lid. It has lots of scratches but was well taken care of by the previous owner.  It measures 20" x 6 3/4" x 2 3/4"
