Vintage CURRENT RESISTANCE/Auto Battery Voltage TESTER & METRE-Model 161-ACCURATE INSTRUMENT CO.-N.Y., NY ~Utility tester is made to test, measure, and diagnose many things: auto battery voltage, current resistance, and other utilities. ~Board has many hookups to use various probes (included) for readings. Also has a large meter for this purpose. ~Unit is "MODEL 161" made by "ACCURATE INSTRUMENT CO, INC. NEW YORK, N. Y." ~Kit includes a wide variety of attachments that can be variously hooked up and used for testing and various other functions (see them among the photos). They have their own storage cubby on the side of the unit. ~One of these tools allows a person to plug in a small battery to power the tester unit. Great for remote locations or in those that have no electrical poewer. Also included is a power cord that can hook the unit up directly to regular electrical power. Another pin-tester attachment allows tubes or items with pin connectors to be tested. Also included are both positive and negative probes, each with spring clamps at the other ends. These can be plugged into a wide variety of marked and labelled places on the tester board. This gives the corresponjding wide variety of testing possibilities and results. ~Case is sturdy and hard, made to protect electronics inside real well. Including exterior parts, it measures around 10x8-1/2x3-1/2 inches high. Cover can be left open or completely detached from entire unit. ~On the exterior, case has a thick vinyl type covering. Also has a strong adjustable rubber or vinyl carrying handle. Makes transporting, carrying, or moving this unit a snap! Also has a strong, secure linked metal chain for easy, instant hanging anywhere. There are 4 solid metal feet on the bottom. And a secure, strong latch to keep it securely shut. GENERAL CONDITION--COPIED FROM ABOVE: ~I have no way to test this to see if it works. Shows light use and age, but wears it well, commensurate with an item several decades old. It looks to have been treated well and is not real dirty. Has no damage and is complete with nothing missing.
