It is our pleasure to offer for your consideration from our personal collection in our smoke free home: A Vintage Torsion Balance Pharmacy/Apothecary Scale, RX1, 120 Gram. This scale works and appears to adjust and operate properly. This Pharmacy Scale belonged to our uncle who bought this new and used it for years in his drug store in San Antonio.  On the front of the scale is an inspection sticker from 1980, which is the last year he operated his store before he retired.  After this, we were given the scale and it has been safely stored ever since.   The top cover lifts up to access the weight pans.  The 2 front legs adjust the balance of the unit.  The inner glass shelf is removable for cleaning of the interior. This scale measures 11-1/2" long, 5-1/4" wide and  6-5/8" tall.  This is a vintage item that has wear and age that is consistent for an item like this that has been used.  There are cosmetic scuffs, scratches, discoloration and stains.  There are several areas were the paint or chrome has chipped and have surface rust.   Please review the pictures. A wonderful scale that is functional to use or great for display.
