This is a vintage Wilmot Castle professional high pressure steam sterilizer / autoclave, type 999B manufactured pre-1959 in Rochester, NY, USA.   We don't know exact manufacturing date but the Ritter Company acquired Wilmot Castle in 1959 so we know it was made before that.  We actually haven't found another 999B anywhere else on the market.  Everyone is selling Type 999C.  Also unique about ours is the classic handle that is NOT broken, like so many others you find online.  Ours is also pistachio green, a less common, truly retro color of the 50's. This collectible item turns on, timer works, lights all work, etc. We have not fully tested the sterilization process end to end but expect it works.  Measures approximately 19"h x 14"w x 23"d. Looks like a medical equipment collector's dream - doctors, dentists, medical offices, etc - especially since we can't find another anywhere online. Maybe goes in a museum of dentistry somewhere, who knows!  Would be awesome to have in a tattoo shop too! Some details: *We are located in central California and will deliver as far north as the Bay Area or south to San Diego to the right buyer.  Item must sell for at least $500 for us to drive a significant distance without additional fees.  Just let us know where you're at and we can work something out. *Photos show that this piece is not in perfect condition but doesn't have any major damage or broken parts, just some missing paint, scratches and patina. *Item is sold as-is and we do not offer refunds or returns.  If you are a serious buyer and want us to run further tests or send additional photos, just let us know.  We'll do what we can to answer all of your questions keeping in mind we are not autoclave experts!  ;) Thanks for looking!
