Lot of 21 vintage wooden commercial sign letters, measuring about 12", with aluminum hanging (channel?) hardware on the back of each. They could have come from a store or marquee or some other commercial or industrial signage. Lot includes 21 letters 3 As, 1 C, 2 Ds, 2 Es, 1 G, 1 H, 2 Is, 1 L, 1 M, 1 N, 1 O, 1 R, 3 Ss, and 1 W. They are painted, original, old paint. They are solid wood, not plywood. Each letter weighs in the range of  approximately 6 to 12 oz.. for example "I" is 6 oz. "G" is 10 oz. They are in quite good vintage original condition and ready to hang. Several of them have an old repair line (glued or a little brad nail); they are all complete, except for two that have a small corner chip -1 of the Es and the N-.  Please see close up photos. As for their vintage, my best estimate is that they are pre-1950, maybe even 1940s, due to the crazing of the paint, and their construction and materials, but I am not sure of this. It could be a lot of fun figuring out what these letters were meant to spell. Some possibilities- Deli Sandwiches, Gasoline, or a family name? or maybe just use them individually. For shipping, they will need a rather large box in order to adequately wrap and protect the letters. I have estimated shipping here, but please wait for my invoice; I will charge you the actual shipping cost. This varies quite a bit depending on how far you live from my location.
