This was originally purchased off Craigslist years back.  It had the crack and I bought it because of it's reduced price.  It recently bit the dust.  When turned on it produces an electric shock of sorts inside.  I can smell it and see the sparks.  I called Vitamix and they said I had to take it to a regional repair center.  I'm in the process of moving and it just seems like too much work.   Know that this needs to be repaired for proper operating.  Any engineer minded folk might get a kick from this.
