This is a vintage hot wire cutter These were made to cut and seal rope/webbing/ nylon cord Not sure of the age but I would guess it was made in the 60-70s  The cutter has a triangular shaped hardwood case or box that measures about 12" wide x 6"high x 7" deep  It has a quality electric cord that measures about 7' long note that there is a crack or split in the cord insulation( could easily be repaired with electrical tape, but works fine as is) The cutting wire is 9" long The hard wood case appears to be mahogany There is a basic toggle on/off switch Unit has a brass drawer pull type handle on one end to carry it by Marked on one side of unit is  Directions gently push rope along wire under tension, 110/120V-AC ONLY, SEAL-KUTTER PATENT APPLIED FOR, for replacement HI-temperature  elements send $1 to T-ON BOX 262 Warren R.I.  The other side of the unit is marked With the same info and has a replaceable fuse port  I believe these to be fairly rare and could find very little about it anywhere on the web  Please see all pics  Thanks for looking  Please visit our store
