One new VTL5C3 Excelitas Technologies (formerly Perkin Elmer) Vactec Vactrol  Optocoupler/Optoisolator that is often used in Buchla, Synth, Phaser or Guitar Circuits.  NOTE: Our Vactec Vactrol VTL5C3 part is NOT the same as the Coolaudio VTL5C3 part!  Our original Excelitas Technologies (formerly Perkin Elmer) Vactec Vactrol VTL5C3 part has a minimum output specification of 1.5 ohms at 40 mA current,   but the Coolaudio VTL5C3 part minimum output specification is much higher: 500 ohms @ 40 mA current.   Please make sure which VTL5C3 part your application requires.   You can find the OEM VACTROL VTL5C3 specifications here and the Coolaudio VTL5C3 specifications here DESCRIPTION: Isolator, Analog Optical, Axial leaded, 2.0 V @ 20 mA (LED, 40 mA (Max.) (LED), -40 degC, 75 degC This light tight package which houses a light source and one or more photoconductive cells. Through control of the input current or applied voltage, the output resistance can be varied. The output resistance can be made to switch between ""on"" and ""off"" state or made to track the input signal in an analog manner.  High input-to-output voltage isolation.  True resistance element output.  Single or dual element outputs available.  Low cost  Suitable for AC or DC use  Wide range of input to output characteristics  Low drive current.    No. of Channels: 1   Isolation Voltage: 2.5kV   Optocoupler Output Type: Resistor   Maximum Input Current: 40mA   Maximum Output Voltage: 250V   Opto Case Style: Through Hole   No. of Pins: 4   Input Current Max: 40mA   Minimum Output Resistance: 1.5 ohms @ 40mA   Off Output Resistance: at least 10 megohms after 10 seconds   RoHS Compliant: No   For complete specifications, see the  Vactrol VTL5C3 Technical data sheet.
